OnePlus 5 – My Analysis after One Month of Use

At this point, everyone knows about OnePlus and knows something about their fourth important phone, which is finally called OnePlus 5. I have been using it as a personal phone to this day, and it came from using OnePlus 3T, so whether we agree or not, I can contribute something serious. The phone still costs the same, sales are going well and it appears that this Chinese brand in here to stay in the market.

The first thing I would like to talk about is that OnePlus 6 is a very decent evolution of OnePlus 3T, a better phone, a more mature company, but it is not a revolution with respect to what there was. In short, if you have OnePlus 3T, you have to go very well pertaining to the money to make the change.

The company is creating more mature products, with better and innovative components, but that has to be paid for. Exiting too much of the original formula OnePlus can be dangerous. Having said that, I think it is best that we proceed to OnePlus 5 review and how my perception of this model has changed. I will share the details that I needed more time to discover, whether good or bad. I hope the other users will lend a hand giving their opinions on qualities and behaviors as well in feedback to this post.

It has been a month since I got OnePlus 5, like everyone, I had that first impression that it looked like an Apple phone, something that faded when I had it in my hand. Okay, the elements are in the same place, but the textures, colors and shapes have nothing to do.

Regarding OnePlus 5, we can talk about things like durability or comfort of use. First, I have it intact since I use a Karbon sheath that feels like a glove and it improves the grip and protects the phone enough. OnePlus is improving on things that are not so noticeable, a user from a previous phone will know how to appreciate the evolution.

On the downside, to say that the frontal protection still seems delicate, even though it has Gorilla Glass 5, and I would also recommend a tempered glass protector. For materials and construction, OnePlus 5does not seem cheap, so it is interesting to look for official accessories of quality, so that you can continue to maintain its good look.

Compared to OnePlus 3T, I will say that the experience of using it is very similar, something better in the new phone to be slightly smaller, besides curves that make it more pleasant in the hand. OnePlus 5 is a phone clearly better designed to be used.

There are two phones that I have used mainly in the last years, iPhone and OnePlus, both have a physical button to change activity profiles. In the case of Chinese phone, the option is of three steps, and it is something that I use quite frequently. When I have to analyze other phones, I miss it.
